When we go to conferences like NWLC, I'm always heartened that our church is singing some of the best songs written today. And, we continue to polish up the old hymns and do them in new ways so as not to abandon our past. Just a thought here....
Here is our list this week.
O Worship The King (Tomlin)
Sing To The King ( Foote)
I Will Sing of My Redeemer (Ortega)
Show Me Your Ways (Fragar)
What Can I Do (Baloche)
I Stand Amazed (Jernigan)
The Wordle above is from this morning's teaching in Proverbs 6--can you guess what the topic was?
So, how was your Sunday?

Jim,
Hey man, well, it's always going to be extra special now to have you post, since we've met in person. Thanks a ton for taking part in the "Sunday Setlist" carnival ... I think this will be a lot of fun.
Great seeing you last week - looks like an awesome morning of worship. Did you lead? I had the morning off ... I just hung out in the sound booth and worshiped!
Looks like I need to spend a little more time in that passage in Proverbs. D-ohh!
Our worship was great. Nice set you've got here. Re-doing older hymns is ok if they lend themselves to a more contemporary style, but too many don't. As a result, some of the ones I've heard "modernized" sound a little too forced together for my tastes.

Yes, I led and with no rehearsal this past Wed.-it all went well!
Looking forward to knowing FRED more! Enjoyed the week last week

I agree on the hymns. I Will Sing was inspired by Fernando Ortega last week.. he did it in a morning service--so simple, so sweet and the backstory behind it on P. P.Bliss is amazing--found in his luggage that survived the fiery wreckage that killed him.
"O Worship the King" is a great revision. I've got to get that going in our church sometime.
