Visual Worship

I've been wanting to post about this for a while. Some of you may have seen these photos in COLLIDE MAGAZINE in December. When I saw these photos, I think I took a big gulp and a gasp of air. These pictures are beautiful. If you read the article and go to the web site here
you'll see that they achieve these looks by using 3 video projectors and a separate laptop send/signal. This is at Irving Bible Church in Irving, Texas. Camron Ware is the visual designer.

We purchased some of the images from his collection and used a few at Christmas. We have some ambient lighting issues (stained glass windows) that keep us from having a totally dark room. However, at Christmas when the windows were covered, we tried some of these. Totally cool.

Take a look at Camron's gallery hereand his Flickr gallery here

They can totally change the look of the room in one setting--visual painting! It may be the next wave of visual design for Worship.

Jim - did you guys set this up with projectors on the walls and all of that? I'm seriously trying to figure out a way to do this in our building without exploding our budget.
